Framed original oil painting on gallery wrapped canvas. O'Reilly's Lobster Coop in Cape Porpoise (Kennebunkport, Maine) is well known for an ancient rusted yellow truck that sits in its front yard. The truck has been painted many times by many artists, so I decided to focus on another view of the property. The painting depicts a brilliant sunny afternoon in October. I was particularly drawn by the diagonal created by the lobster traps and buildings and had a great time imagining colors for the white clapboards.
